A vasodilator originally developed for blood pressure, now the most widely used hair-regrowth treatment — topically as Rogaine, and increasingly prescribed orally at low dose for the same purpose.

This is why we don't publish one number per drug

Same molecule, same two pharmacies, same day — and the answer reverses depending on which strength you are prescribed.

The reason: a US pharmacy charges roughly the same per tablet regardless of strength, so at 10mg you get four times the drug for a third less money. Overseas pricing scales more closely with content, so the low-dose tablets stay competitive and the high-dose ones don't.

The practical rule: if your protocol is 2.5mg — the usual starting dose for hair — the overseas route is modestly cheaper. If you are at 5–10mg, pull a free GoodRx coupon and fill it locally.

Anyone quoting a single “X× cheaper” for a whole drug is not measuring carefully enough to be useful.

Topical

Topical minoxidil is over-the-counter and cheap in the US. Our verified source runs $0.297/ml at the 2-bottle tier, but we would not import it — the case for this listing is the oral protocol.

⚠️ Oral minoxidil is a blood-pressure medication used off-label. It requires prescriber supervision — cardiovascular effects and fluid retention are real. Do not self-start it.
