1. COA Verification Workflow
- Match the batch number. The lot/batch number on the vial must exactly match the COA the vendor provides.
- Check the core tests. HPLC purity (look for ≥98–99%), Mass Spec / LC-MS (confirms identity & molecular weight), and Endotoxin (LAL) for anything intended for injectable research (<0.5–1 EU/mg).
- Verify the lab. Preferred: Janoshik Analytical (public database at public.janoshik.com — enter task # + key), MZ Biolabs, TrustPointe. Confirm the lab exists independently.
- Red flags. Generic “in-house” COA with no lab name; old dates or reused PDFs; only a purity % with no chromatograms or MS data; vendor refuses to share the full report.
- Best practice. Send your own sample for independent testing on a first order from any new vendor (~$200–300 via Janoshik). Keep a personal COA folder with screenshots + notes.
2. Storage Best Practices
Lyophilized (powder) vials
- Long-term: −20°C freezer (stable for years)
- Short-term: 2–8°C fridge (up to 6–12 months)
- Avoid: room temperature, heat, direct light, moisture
Reconstituted solutions
- Use bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol)
- Store refrigerated (2–8°C); use within 14–28 days; do not freeze
General
- Sterile technique when handling; desiccant packets for moisture control
- Label every vial with compound, concentration, and date
- Stability varies by peptide — BPC-157 and TB-500 are relatively stable; some nootropic peptides are more temperature-sensitive
3. Prerequisites & Safety Checklist
Before ordering
- Budget for independent testing (~$200–300 per new vendor/batch)
- Be 21+ and understand your local research-chemical laws
- Have sterile supplies: .22µm PES filters, sterile vials, bacteriostatic water, precision scale, alcohol swabs
- Read and accept the strict RUO policy (not for human/veterinary use)
Before reconstituting
- Verify the COA (workflow above)
- Work in a clean environment; use gloves + mask
- Label everything clearly
Ongoing
- Store properly; track batch numbers and dates
- Document research observations; dispose of waste per local regulations
